Gold Coast Diving Sites
With its warm clear waters swarming with colourful marine life, the Gold Coast is one of the best places to dive in the whole world. Here are just three of the most popular diving sites close to our Palm Beach accommodation.
Nine Mile Reef
Ideal for intermediate divers, this spectacular dive site is teeming with large marine life, including grey nurse sharks, leopard sharks, manta rays, sting rays and turtles. Explore rocky reef terrain at this challenging dive site with a total depth of 30 metres.
Kirra Reef
The waters around Kirra Reef are not known for their abundance of large marine life but porcupine fishes, wobbys, moray eels and small colourful fishes darting in and out of the reef and rocky outcrops are a common site.
Palm Beach Reef
This reef is approximately 800 metres from the shore and can be easily accessed by boat. Take in dazzling soft coral and sponges that cling to several large bommies and keep an eye out for sting rays, hammerhead sharks, parrotfish and reef fish in every colour of the rainbow.
