This June, don’t miss the opportunity to witness some of the best Australian paddle boarders battling it out on local beaches as the Immerse SUP and Paddle Festival returns to the Gold Coast.
With the picturesque golden beaches and iconic waterways of Currumbin as its backdrop, the festival provides the exclusive qualification pathway for local athletes hoping to participate in the Australian SUP Titles and the consequent 2014 International Surfing Association (ISA) Paddleboard and SUP World Championships
The renowned event features the adrenaline pumping 17 kilometre and 8 kilometre Open Ocean Paddleboard Race, which sees athletes take to the waves on ocean skis, prone paddleboards, outrigger canoes and stand up paddle boards in a bid to secure their place in the Australian SUP Titles. Other festival highlights to look forward to include Queensland's SUP State Surfing Titles and Queensland's SUP Technical Sprint Racing Titles.
