Book with Regency on the Beach in June for a prime location during the 2019 Australian Open – the biggest lawn bowls event this 2019.
Renowned for its numerous beachfront bowls venues, the Gold Coast provides the perfect setting for championship-level lawn bowls. The Australian Open has been held on the Gold Coast since 2015, and in 2019, it’s all set to return with two weeks of nonstop fixtures for both bowlers and spectators.
For its fifth event, there will be an impressive prize pool of $250,000 with casual and professional bowlers arriving from all corners of the country to win a slice of the prize. Reigning champions from last year’s event will be returning to hold on to their titles, including Men’s Singles Champion Ryan Bester, Women’s Singles Champion Rebecca Van Asch, Men’s Pairs Champions Chris Herden and Carl Healey, Women’s Pairs Champions Gayle and Brooke Edwards and many more.
Events will be for both men and women – including Singles, Pairs and Fours – with other disciplines such as the Under-18 Boys’ Singles, Under-18 Girls’ Singles, Over-60s Men’s Singles, Over-60s Women’s Singles – and more – making a return.
The fixtures will be spread out over 13 world-class host clubs on the Gold Coast, which will include the Broadbeach Bowls Club, Burleigh Heads Bowls Club, Gold Coast Bowls Club, Coolangatta Bowls Club, Mermaid Beach Bowls Club, Southport Bowls Club among others.
The 2019 Australian Open will take place once again on the Gold Coast from June 1 to June 14.
