Everything You Need to Know About SWELL Sculpture Festival
SWELL Sculpture Festival – Celebrating 19 Years This Spring
SWELL Sculpture Festival is back, and probably the most exciting Gold Coast event to look forward to this spring.
SWELL Festival, which is held annually on Currumbin Beach, is a free outdoor exhibition that showcases the incredible sculpture art of local, national and international artists, transforming the beach into a visual spectacle that captivates, excites and inspires!
Yep, it’s FREE to attend and lasts 10 days in total, making it the perfect excuse to visit Currumbin Beach – voted one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches.
This year, SWELL Sculpture Festival returns for its 19th event to bring Currumbin Beach to life with more than 65 awe-inspiring sculptures to see – small, large and sure to take your breath away.
As with each year, there will be guided twilight walks that offer extra insights into each sculpture, artist-led workshops for budding sculptors, plus special talks by the artists of the sculptures themselves. And if that’s not enough, there will be even more sculptures on display at Dust Temple Currumbin!
So, are you excited? SWELL Sculpture Festival 2021 is a COVID Safe event, coming for 10 whole days this spring from September 10 to September 19.
