Solo + Tandem Solo
The Solo + Tandem Solo marathon distance swim is the pinnacle for any open water swimmer. It is one of the gorgeous courses you will discover. It has a spectacular setting from the stunning beaches of the Southern Gold Coast to Burleigh Headland, Broadbeach, and culminating under the towering skyscrapers of Surfers Paradise.
Duo Teams
The Duo is a two-person team that allows you and a companion to conquer the Gold Coast alternately. Like a Team of Four, A Duo Team can swim numerous legs of any length. If the complete solo trip is too far for 2022, partner up with a friend and enters a Duo team – this will also count toward qualifying for a Solo try in 2023.
Teams
Swim the Gold Coast’s Teams event is the heart and spirit of the event. More importantly, the boat journey alone will be fantastic. Plus, forming a team in 2022 will be easier, with options for 3, 4, 5, or 6 people. The 21.5km route can be divided into various legs of varying lengths, allowing your team to be made up of people of all abilities. Swim 500 meters, 5.0 kilometres, or 15 kilometres. Who swims when and for how long is decided by your team.
Choose Regency on the Beach for easy access to the marathon location. The course spans the whole Gold Coast, from Coolangatta Beach in the south to Surfers Paradise in the north. They’ll go straight by Regency on the Beach.
