Coolangatta Whale Watch has purpose-built whale-watching catamaran vessels on the Southern Gold Coast. It is 65 feet long and well-kept, with plenty of open deck space and undercover seating. There is also plenty of seating in a large enclosed lounge area with full-length viewing windows and full-size toilet and wash facilities for viewers.

At 7:40 a.m., you will board at the Ivory Marina just 20 minutes south of the hotel and depart at 8:00 a.m, Wednesday through Monday, cruises depart at 8 a.m. 

(Please keep in mind that there is no parking at the Ivory Marina or Tavern. However, free street parking is available on Terranora Terrance and Boyd Street).

Burleigh Hill is a fantastic location, and some of the lookouts in Burleigh National Park provide elevated views of the entire coastline – just a short walk from the hotel. Free Whale watching is best from North Burleigh Lookout and Elephant Rock in Currumbin.

To the south, Point Danger Lookout in Coolangatta provides unobstructed views, and on a clear day, whales can be seen from a long-distance. Make sure to bring binoculars with you for the best experience.
