Plan now because ANZAC Day Services attract large numbers. Regency on the Beach is in a prime area in Palm Beach, Queensland, close to Tallebudgera Creek, Burleigh Heads, and Currumbin. Attending the Currumbin RSL 2023 ANZAC Day events will be easy.

And although ANZAC Day is on April 25, the ANZAC Day week illumination initiatives begin as early as April 17 in Currumbin. To help you plan your trip, below is the list of ANZAC Day Currumbin activities.

April 17 – April 25

The Lighting of Throwers Bridge & Elephant Rock

The neighbourhood’s response to the ANZAC illumination projects in past years was very positive. Throwers Bridge in Currumbin and Elephant Rock at Currumbin Beach are illuminated by the area this year.

April 23

Currumbin RSL Walk4remembrance

Seize the chance to increase awareness of the veterans who have died fighting their battles. Break the stigma surrounding mental illness by participating in the Currumbin RSL Walk for Remembrance and helping to fund initiatives that benefit veterans.

This year, the 8-kilometre walk will start at Currumbin RSL Reserve beside the stream, with Tugun Surf Life Saving Club as the halfway point.

All proceeds from the Currumbin RSL Walk4Remembrance will be given to the Veteran Support Center to continue offering veterans high-quality care and services. Due to the April 16 deadline, register immediately.

April 25

Currumbin RSL Dawn Service

Elephant Rock on Currumbin Beach is where the Currumbin RSL Dawn Service is. The dawn service will start at 5 am after the ANZAC Day march, which begins at 4:35 am. The ANZAC Day Dawn Service draws a significant crowd, so arrive early.

Currumbin RSL and The Pines Shopping Center will provide a park-and-ride service for the general public. From 3 am until 4:45 am, these services will run nonstop to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. After that, from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary following the end of the 7 am ceremony.

You can travel to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary from either pickup location and then walk a short distance to Elephant Rock. Non-veterans can use this service for a gold coin donation; the money will go toward the Veteran Support Services.

After the dawn service, the Gun Fire Breakfast will be at Currumbin RSL. It is free for veterans, members of the auxiliary branch, and active duty troops.

Mid-morning Service & March

In addition, the mid-morning service will be held at the club’s cenotaph by Currumbin RSL in the middle of the morning. When the parade starts at 10:35 am, and the cenotaph service starts at 10:55 am, you should assemble in Winders Park if you plan to march.

ANZAC Day Luncheon At Currumbin RSL

After the mid-morning service at the Currumbin RSL Cenotaph, the Currumbin Palm Beach RSL Sub Branch will host its annual ANZAC Day Luncheon. Doors will open for ticket holders at noon in the Waterside Events area of the Currumbin RSL.

The general public can enter the club starting at 12:30 pm. Two Up, a traditional Australian game, begins at this time. Two-up is a classic coin-flipping game in which spectators bet money on the result of the flip. It’s an excellent way to spend an afternoon once a year, and it has associations with respect and remembering for troops who have died.

Make travel arrangements for ANZAC Day and get a room at Regency on the Beach Palm Beach so you can make it to the services without any trouble.
